Psychology 0981 is a survey course examining the broad field of psychology. In this course, topics include critical thinking and the scientific method as it relates to the field of psychology and an overview of the discipline. This course introduces students to evolution and genetics, the human brain, biological rhythms and states of consciousness, sensation and perception, development through the lifespan, psychological disorders and approaches to therapy and treatment. PSYC 0981 and PSYC 0991 can be taken in either order. Both PSYC 0981and PSYC 0991 are required for completion of ABE Provincial level Psychology.

Psychology 0991 is a survey course examining the broad field of psychology. In this course, topics include critical thinking and the scientific method as it relates to the field of psychology and an overview of the discipline. This course introduces students to emotion, stress and health, learning theory, memory, thinking and intelligence, motivation, social and cultural psychology, and personality and individual differences. PSYC 0981 and PSYC 0991 can be taken in either order. Both PSYC 0981 and PSYC 0991 are required for completion of ABE Provincial level Psychology.
