The Cross‐Trade Pathways HMT Course is Heavy Mechanical Trades Level 1 and 2 compressed course, designed for experienced trades workers to gain advancement or certification in Heavy Mechanical Trades. It is aimed at reducing the training time needed for experienced trades workers. Content includes HMT Level 1 and Level 2 as per the ITA HMT apprenticeship program outlines. Participants have one of the following: - Certification in a related trade and interest in pursuing dual certification - Significant work experience in a project trade - International training and experience in a trade with related skills.

Zero Emissions Vehicle Service and Technology prepares Automotive Service Technicians (AST) to safely diagnose and service high voltage electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Certified technicians, registered AST 3rd and 4th year apprentices will build on previous understanding of conventional vehicle systems to develop skills in preparation for the increasing use of electric vehicles on our roads. This course has an 8 hour online self-paced module that must be completed in advance of the 30 hour in-person classroom/shop training period.

This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to understand the need for advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) in modern vehicles, diagnose a variety of ADAS, repair a variety of ADAS, and calibrate ADAS. Learners will gain an understanding of the importance of ADAS in modern vehicles, including the benefits for driver safety and convenience. Students will also receive an introduction to a variety of ADAS types, their components, as well as the various methods of diagnosing, repairing, and calibrating each system. Through hands-on activities, learners will gain the skills necessary to diagnose, repair, and calibrate a variety of ADAS systems.
